Develop your Buddhi / intelligence / logical thinking / conscience / Shraddha / logical thinking

1.    What is Buddhi (intelligence)?  What is Shraddha (near meaning ‘concentration’)? (There is no word to translate actual meaning of Shraddha in English)
How can we develop it?
2.    My son cannot remember his lessons.  He tends to forget things very fast.  How can this be corrected?
3.    How can a person think rightly?  What influences thinking process – whether a future decision/action is right or wrong?
4.    Can we influence decision making process to be more logical and sensible?

There are two answers to it.  One is generic and another one is specific.
Modern science cannot answer it because it needs analysis and it will never believe which is not proven.  It requires proof and I appreciate the science that it is trying to prove the existence of whatever is mentioned as a fact in Vedas or ancient knowledge.  Alas!!! Everything is coming true.

Science is changing day by day.  But Vedic principles have not changed a bit since written.
Hey science, let me ask one question – Where is Buddhi situated?  Where is Mind situated? Please go and find….

Great Sages of India had the answer: -
“Manasthanam Galaantham, Buddher Vadanam
Ahankaarasya Hridayam, Chithasya Naabhiriti”
(Mind is in the Throat; Buddhi is in the Face
Ahankara is in the Heart; Chitha is in the Naval portion)

Generic
There are many a number of remedial measures for developing your intelligence.  Some of them are below.  You can do all below or choose minimum three of below as per your interest/choice and do it consistently.
1.    Gayatri is the ultimate mantra for developing all above.
2.    Do Agnihotram
3.    Pray to Ganesa / Ganapati for developing your Buddhi (intelligence).
4.    Light a Ghee Lamp in front of Ganesa daily (or at least every Fridays).
5.    Take initiation from a Guru for Ganesa Ashtakshari and chant daily 108 times.
6.    Light a Ghee Lamp in front of Dakshinamurthy on every Thursday.
7.    Chant Medha Suktam daily.
8.    Pray to Ganesa, Dakshinamurthy and Saraswati before you start studying.
9.    Do Sankatahara Chaturthi Vrat.
10.    Do Maha Ganapathy Homam on Fridays / First day of the month (Indian Calendar – due to its relation to the universe).
11.    Go Vegetarian.  It is important because “You are what you eat and you are what you think”.  Both have high correlation.
12.    After initiation from a Guru, chant moola mantra of Dakshinamurthy 108 times touching the water in a pot and pour on to your head while bathing.  Do this for 48 days.

SpecificThis is specifically for individuals considering their natal chart.  We have to analyse the 5th house, position of 5th lord, Jupiter, planets posited in 5th house, Navamsa, other planets aspects, shadvargabala of 5th lord etc.

After due consideration, we have to do remedies including specific Homams with herbs, Japa, Dana and Archana as mentioned in ancient texts.

We have to please the appropriate Devata after analysing the horoscope.
